Using Sample Data in SketchFlow

In this module, you discover how to add some sampledata to your SketchFlow project. You will also find out how to replace the sample data with more relevant data to help you accurately review your prototype.

Why use Sample Data?
SketchFlow is designed to help designers, developers and all those involved with the early stages of a project solve issues before they become costly in thew development stage. Many applications, whether desktop or web, rely on the integration of a database and large quantities of images, text, etc. An interactive prototype that catches potential problems in the early stages when it comes to user interactions with this data can be very useful. In addition to the basic controls such as button and rectangles that you have been using, there are more sophisticated controls that can be populated with images and text from a database.

Opening an existing project
To get started, you will open an existing project.

1. With Expression Blend 3 open, choose File > Open Project/Solution and browse to the module10_guide folder. Open the folder, then open the snowboard_online folder contained within.
2. Right-click the Expression Blend file named snowboard_online and open it in Expression Blend 3.
3. In the SketchFlow Map panel, double-click the Boards screen to open it.
